Jakarta – The domestic drama between Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar continues to escalate. This time, Kimberly’s mother, Irvina Zainal, also opened her voice regarding the domestic violence (domestic violence) suffered by her daughter.
Irvina could not even hide her disappointment with her daughter-in-law. In the divorce trial held at the Jakarta Central Religious Court on Wednesday (25/9/2024), he looked very emotional.
Nevertheless, he revealed that even though there were allegations of domestic violence, he was thankful that Kimberly Ryder did not suffer serious physical injuries.
“Thank God, my child is not hit, not destroyed. Thank God, he was saved,” said Irvina, relieved.
What made the atmosphere even tighter was Irvina’s confession about the violence that had happened since 2019. However, Kimberly Ryder only wanted to tell the story this year.
“When I found out, it was like fire was coming out, I was very angry. But what, my child was there,” he said, full of disappointment.
Machi Ahmad, Kimberly Ryder’s lawyer, also confirmed that there was a domestic violence report that was submitted to the Pondok Aren Police.
“In the past, there was domestic violence that Kimberly reported,” explained Machi, confirming the reasons behind the divorce lawsuit.
But unfortunately, the divorce trial had to be postponed because Edward’s party was not yet ready except for evidence. The judge decided to continue the trial in October 2024.
Kimberly Ryder seems to remain very secretive and reluctant to provide more information about the domestic violence incident.
“There’s no need to talk about it,” he said simply.
