An emergency medical intervention and damage to the overhead line are causing massive delays on the ICE route between Frankfurt and Cologne. The details are still unclear.

Frankfurt – The ICE route between Frankfurt and Cologne was closed on Friday evening (September 27th). The reason was two incidents, as Deutsche Bahn reports on its website: an emergency medical intervention on the route near Idstein in the Rheingau-Taunus district and damage to overhead lines in the Limburg area.

According to Deutsche Bahn, individual long-distance trains would have to be rerouted and would therefore be delayed by around 90 minutes. The stops in Limburg Süd, Montabaur and Siegburg/Bonn were omitted. In addition, there are cancellations and partial cancellations of trains.
