At 2:30 a.m. on the night of Thursday September 26 to Friday September 27, the Fire attack plan was triggered at the hospital de L’Aigle (Orne), thereby causing an extraordinary mobilization on the site.

No fewer than 31 firefighters from emergency centers in L’Aigle, La Ferté-Fresnel, Gacé, Verneuil (Eure), Alençon, Courtomer, Longny and Mortrée were mobilized for ultimately a simple technical malfunction. At this stage, we do not know what caused this trigger.
No impact on patients
“The event was quickly brought under control and this large-scale intervention had no impact on the patients or on the operation of the establishment,” according to the Sdis of Orne. It will have had the merit of testing a device and the capacity of the emergency services to quickly become operational. The resources implemented were promptly released.
