AirPods Pro 2 received a new update

Apple has announced the release of the next firmware update for AirPods Pro 2, which comes just a week after the previous update and two weeks after the release of iOS 18 with new features for AirPods.

In the new firmware version, the build number has changed from 7A302 to 7A305. Earlier this month, Apple released a major update that included features like voice isolation and custom volume improvements.

Apple has not provided details about the new update.

How to check AirPods firmware version?

To find out the firmware version of your AirPods, follow these steps:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Go to the Bluetooth section.
  • Find your AirPods in the device list.
  • Tap the “i” icon next to it.
  • Check the firmware version number.

Apple says AirPods firmware updates are installed automatically when AirPods are charging and within Bluetooth range of your Wi-Fi-connected iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You can also check the firmware version of your AirPods using your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
