Tegucigalpa – The National Congress approved this Thursday three contracts that amount to 141 million 900 thousand dollars with two multilateral organizations.
The three agreements are signed as follows: two with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and one with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
The first contract is with the IDB and is for an amount of 20 million dollars and the resources will be allocated to implement the “Support Program for Labor Input in Honduras”.
While the second contract includes a loan from the IDB for an amount of 25 million 600 thousand dollars for the implementation of the Transparency and Integrity Program for Sustainable Development II.
Finally, the third contract has been signed by CABEI for the value of 96 million 300 thousand dollars for the implementation of the “Honduras Resilient Highway Program (PCE-HN) – Section B-1 El Progreso Bypass.”
The terms of the three agreements include that payments under the loan, including those made for capital, interest, additional amounts, commissions and charges, shall be free of all types of deductions, taxes , duties, rates, donations, tax charges, excise taxes, donations, taxes, government or municipal public donation and other Honduran expenses.
Likewise, all goods and services obtained with the funds of this loan agreement and national funds for the implementation of the program are exempt from customs duties, discretionary consumption taxes and sales taxes, which are levied on -trade or buy local. AG
