Tourist dies while climbing in the Oristano area, falls into the sea

A German tourist aged around 35 who fell into the sea while climbing lost his life this afternoon between Santa Caterina di Pittinuri and Su Riu, off the coast of Cuglieri, in the Oristano area. The dynamics of the tragedy are not yet clear. The Bosa Coast Guard is working on site. From what we understand, the tourist was engaged in climbing with a friend when he lost his balance, falling from the rocks and ending up in the sea. The woman who was with him dived into the sea and kept him afloat until the rescue boat arrived. Perhaps the young man hit his head, or felt ill, the fact is that he lost consciousness. It was the same woman who was with him who triggered the alarm. The Oristano firefighters, their colleagues from Cagliari by helicopter and the port authority arrived on site. An inflatable boat from the sea rescue service, with the help of the firefighters, recovered both the body of the tourist and her friend, taking them to the beach. The 118 doctors tried to resuscitate the German but there was nothing they could do.
