The School of Music in the Warendorf district, in cooperation with the Theater am Wall association, is organizing this year’s scholarship holders’ concert on Sunday (September 29th) at 11 a.m. in the roof theater in the Theater am Wall. “As in previous years, the concert will take place as a matinee as part of the Klassik-Café event series,” says a press release.
Every year, the School of Music in the Warendorf district awards solo and ensemble scholarships as part of a competition to promote young and promising talents with support from the Cultural Foundation of Sparkasse Warendorf, Sparkasse Münsterland Ost and the School of Music Support Association. These committed and motivated students are often the top performers at the music school and regularly win prizes in the Jugend musiziert competition. The scholarships include weekly additional instrumental and ensemble lessons and at least two concerts per year under professional conditions.
Impulses into the professional field of music
In addition, the scholarship holders regularly receive further valuable impulses and insights into the professional field of music through courses and workshops. This year’s scholarship holders received lessons from the internationally renowned pianist Lukas Sternath as part of a master class with the friendly support of the Liesborn Museum Concerts. The aim of the scholarship program is to support and challenge young, motivated students and to prepare them for possible music studies.
Solo and ensemble contributions with demanding works
Guests at this concert can enjoy eleven talented young musicians in solo and ensemble contributions with a demanding program. Admission to the concert is free. Donations are welcome. The performers are happy to have a large audience. Information about the school for music in the Warendorf district is available online: www.schulefuermusik-waf.de
