The Queen of Carnival 2025, Tatiana Angulo Fernández De Castro, will represent Colombia’s largest party in the US with the CarnavalBAQ initiative around the world.
The sovereign will participate in the Hispanic Heritage Parade, visit the White House and approach the Latin community to bring Barranquilla culture to the US capital.
Barranquilla, September 2024. The Barranquilla Carnival, one of the most emblematic festivals in Colombia and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, will bring its joy and color to Washington, DC, with the participation of the Queen of Carnival 2025, Tatiana Angulo Fernández de Castro, in the Grand Hispanic Parade.
The event, which will be held on Sunday, September 29, will travel along the iconic Constitución Avenue NW, bringing the culture, tradition and folklore that enhances the Barranquilla festival, under the leadership of sovereign Tatiana, who will share this wonderful setting with the Hispanic community in this country.
“I am very grateful to represent our Carnival in the Great Hispanic Heritage Parade. “I want the entire Hispanic community, especially all those Colombians who are far away, to connect with their land and their roots and feel a little of the human warmth and joy of our Carnival,” said Queen Tatiana, inviting all attendees. to be part of the Barranquilla Carnival 2025.
The Queen will also have an agenda of special events, among which her important visit to the White House stands out in a formal event that will take place this Friday, September 27.
Likewise, on Saturday the 28th, he will greet the delegation from El Salvador, which seeks to enter the Guinness Records with the largest popusa in the world, an opportunity to get closer and create spaces of brotherhood with the Latin community in the United States.
Queen Tatiana was invited by Colombia Vive en Mí and Carnaval de Barranquilla in Washington, DC, organizing entities of the parade, which bring together Hispanic communities to celebrate their roots and share the diversity of their traditions.
The sovereign’s tour in Washington DC culminates with the parade, returning to Colombia on Monday, September 30 to continue with her carnival agenda.
The CarnavalBAQ initiative around the world, which seeks to expand the festival internationally, will have as its next stop the visit of Queen Tatiana Angulo Fernández De Castro to New York, on October 10, accompanied by a delegation of Barranquilla Carnival makers.
With participation in this great event, the Barranquilla Carnival continues in its preparation process for the most important festival of Colombians that will take place from March 1 to 4.
