Who controls the smartphone market? | Business Erm

For several years, Samsung and Apple have dominated the global smartphone market, and now they are improving their upcoming devices with features based on next-generation artificial intelligence.

Samsung, the largest public company in South Korea, has integrated features such as instant translation during calls and photo editing using artificial intelligence. At the same time, Apple offers new features that allow users to direct their phones to restaurants, where the phones describe the dishes on the menu thanks to the chip (A18 ).

The chart shows the top companies in the global smartphone market share, based on data from IDC’s quarterly mobile tracking report.

Samsung currently holds the largest share of the smartphone market in 38 countries worldwide, surpassing Apple, which leads the market in 16 countries.

In particular, Samsung is at the top in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, where Apple previously dominated. Samsung also represents more than 40% of the smartphone market in countries such as Brazil and Chile.
