Interesting economic agenda in Valledupar

The passage of this week has coincided with the development in Valledupar of very important events, related to the productive sector of the region and which are generally in the field of the economy.

We don’t know if this is happening after the development of a planned agenda or a group in advance, that would have been ideal, but otherwise it is an interesting situation for economic reactivation processes in the region and the promotion of specific areas such as tourism, among others.

First, the Colombia Nature Travel Fair 2024 stands out, an event that brings together more than 60 international businessmen and almost 70 tourism companies in the country in Valledupar, considered the most nature tourism event important in the world that he will hold this time. his 12th edition.

The programming started this Wednesday night, September 25, with a welcome to all business people, but the main event will be on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, at the Crispín Villazón de Armas Convention Center, in the Valledupar.

The participation of foreign businessmen from 14 countries is interesting, which will undoubtedly be similar to the name of Valledupar in different parts of the world and companies within the process that tries to promote the tourism offer of Colombia.

Secondly, the General Assembly of Rice Growers and Expoarroz Technology Fair 2024 is called for this Friday, September 27 in Valledupar by the National Federation of Rice Growers, Fedearroz, both events will be held at the headquarters of this city.

One of the purposes of this fair is to elect the Regional Committee of Rice Representatives for the next two years and the delegates to the National Congress of Rice XXXIX, which will meet in December in Bogotá.

The president of the board of directors of Fedearroz, José Patricio Vargas Zárate and the General Manager of Fedearroz, Rafael Hernández Lozano, will deliver a report to farmers on the current situation in the cultivation of rice, nationally and internationally.

Suppliers of technologies, inputs, tools and other services for the sector are expected there, as well as farmers, professionals in the agricultural sector, students and people directly or indirectly linked to this activity. Same with the business sector.

Therefore, this is an economic week that, managed and well planned, would help promote the future of Valledupar and the region, to the extent that it includes the organization of conferences, so – conferences, business boards and entrepreneurial fairs, which would attract experts, businessmen and government authorities, promoting the exchange of ideas, projects and capital that will change the area.

We maintain that a well-planned economic week would strengthen sectors such as agribusiness, tourism, renewable energy and creative industries, areas where Valledupar has great potential.

In addition, with the participation of business leaders and academics, the space for analysis would be opened and in some way it would be the Valledupar project as an important center in the Colombian Caribbean economy, would encourage it also local and foreign investment, creating jobs and making it possible for young entrepreneurs and local small businesses to connect to wider networks, access finance and expand their knowledge.

These events make us think that, if we put our minds to it, Valledupar could consolidate itself as a center for innovation, development and growth in the sector.
