Gusttavo Lima now wants ‘reparations for damages to the image’

(ANSA) – SAO PAULO, SEPTEMBER 25 – The lawyers of the singer Gusttavo Lima have announced that they will appeal to obtain a “minimum amount of reparation for the image” of the artist, after the justice of Pernambuco revoked the arrest warrant against him, issued on Monday as part of an investigation into an illegal betting ring and money laundering. “Gusttavo Lima has always had a good life and a career dedicated to music and fans. In due course, judicial measures will be adopted to obtain a minimum amount of reparation for all the damage caused to his image”, write the artist’s lawyers. According to the lawyers, the singer’s relationship “with the companies under investigation was strictly linked to the use of the image and derived from the sale of an airplane”. All negotiations were conducted “legally, with bank transactions and declarations to the competent authorities”, they explain. Lima traveled to the United States hours before Pernambuco Criminal Court Judge Andrea da Cruz issued the arrest warrant on Monday, and was never arrested.
