Qatar Airways has announced that it has become the Official Airline Partner of the UEFA Champions League, running until 2030. “Our partnership with the UEFA Champions League not only strengthens our connection to Europe, but also aligns perfectly with our vision of fostering unity and celebrating excellence,” said Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO. “This partnership highlights our commitment to connecting people around the world through our network of more than 170 destinations,” added Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA President. The airline launched a special campaign video to share the news, starring Brazilian football star Ricardo Kaká. In the video, he acts as a pilot making a special announcement to passengers, alongside English football icon Rio Ferdinand and sports journalist Fabrizio Romano. It should be noted that the agreement also covers sponsorship rights for the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League and UEFA Futsal Champions League, along with sponsorship rights for UEFA men’s national team competitions, including UEFA EURO 2020 and UEFA EURO 2024.
