Carabao Cup, Manchester City wins almost 2-1 against Watford

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Manchester City managed a narrow 2-1 win over Watford in the third leg of the 2024/2025 Carabao Cup at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday (25/9/24).

The Citizens did not bring Erling Haaland, and suggested a series of stars like Bernardo Silva, Manuel Akanji, and Ruben Dias just sit on the bench during the game.

Jeremy Doky and Matheus Nunes scored both of City’s winning goals in the first half. Watford managed to reduce the deficit through Tom Ince’s late second-half strike.

Thanks to this result, Man City has the right to advance to the fourth round, known as the round of 16. At the same time, Watford’s steps must stop here.
