The Puerto Real City Council has announced the 2024 Villa Tourism Promotion Award. This year, the award went to the residents of Calle San José, on the stretch between Soledad and Nueva.
San José Street, between Soledad and Nueva, has become a model of how neighborhood collaboration can transform an urban space into a place of meeting and celebration. Throughout the year, residents have worked to beautify their surroundings, organizing activities and decorations that not only improve the aesthetics of the street, but also promote tourism and strengthen social cohesion.
This community effort has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of their dedication, an award ceremony will be held this Friday, September 27 at six in the evening at the Rosa Butler Cultural Center. The award will be a reason for celebration for all the neighbors, who have shown that, with creativity and teamwork, Puerto Real can be made a more attractive and welcoming place for both visitors and residents.

The Councillor for Tourism, Virginia Mena, stressed that “this award is not only a recognition of the work carried out, but also a motivation for other neighbourhoods to follow the example of this section of San José Street, thus promoting the tourist and cultural development of Puerto Real”.
