Willy and René van de Kerkhof also saw PSV struggle when visiting Fortuna Sittard. The former players of the club hope that the form of the Eindhoven team will improve in the coming matches.
“I had a wonderful sleep in the Fortuna Stadium. If those people hadn’t woken me up, I would still be there,” Willy jokes at Broadcasting Brabantafter which brother René responds. “I thought PSV would slowly be able to play itself into shape in the first few weeks, but I haven’t noticed much of that yet.”
Willy is also not exactly getting excited about the game of the Eindhoven team. “I haven’t even seen them play as weakly as in the first half against Fortuna”, the PSV club icon continues. “Tillman and Veerman didn’t even have to put on their football gear, they did so little, although Tillman did score two beautiful goals.”
Willy thinks that the necessary players are getting match fit is a luxury problem for Bosz. “Moreover, the first fifteen men know that they will be working a lot anyway. Someone like Saibari came on as a substitute yesterday as well”, says Willy, while René is already looking ahead to the match against Sporting Lisbon. “I have seen them play and that is not a bad team.”
