INFO LE FIGARO – Favourite for his own succession, the outgoing president of the FFT made a notable appearance a few days ago during a public meeting in Nouvelle Aquitaine.
Seeking a second term and favourite for his own succession (decision on 14 December) Gilles Moretton is campaigning against his challenger Germain Roesch. The former 65th player in the world, accompanied in particular by the secretary general of the FFT Pierre Doumayrou, presented his campaign programme on 5 September at the Villa Primrose club in Bordeaux, in the presence of elected representatives from clubs, committees and the Nouvelle Aquitaine league.
Mrs. Pascale Boulepiquante, widow of a former rugby player from the 70s/80s, tennis teacher, elected within the League of New Aquitaine in charge of communication, filmed the presidential speech, via her mobile, as she has been accustomed to doing for four years at each demonstration and speech by the leaders of French tennis in New Aquitaine. Surprised, Pierre Doumayrou and Gilles Moretton challenged her in turn. The latter, openly questioning Mrs. Boulepiquante, asked her if filming gave her « vibrations ». « Then, arguing once again that filming was a personal process, Mr. Gilles Moretton, still in front of the audience, added that “The vibrations are personal,” confides Madame Boulepiquante.
Intimidating and very offensive situation
« The sequence having passed quite quickly, it took me a few minutes to understand that the President of the French Tennis Federation had publicly and with impunity disrespected me and used sexist and sexual remarks towards me in a sustained manner by repeating the term “vibrations” twice in a deliberately targeted manner. in a tennis club in the presence of many people. Just like me, the people around me are shocked by the violence of the words, the speech and the way in which this man has attacked my dignity as a woman and a mother through this intimidating and very offensive situation.»
Mrs. Boulepiquante sought advice from her entourage and a lawyer. Then she reported it to the Bordeaux judicial court for sexual and sexist remarks.
