“Some time ago I started receiving outright threats against myself, my family and my animals,” – noted the writer.
She said she received a message on August 25 saying: “All your fucking dogs will die.” Moreover, according to the writer, she received such messages regularly before.
“We have nothing to eat, and you feed the dogs cheese until they die. ” “Your cats live better than my children, help better than the poor” – Dontsova gave examples of these messages, noting that she chose the most suitable ones.
“On August 26, Mr. Fin and 6-year-old Mulechka fell ill. Someone threw poison at the site. We are still handling Fin. Mulechka died on August 27,” – said the writer.
She said that research into the poison is now underway, that there are video cameras on the site, and that the dogs will no longer walk alone.
In March 2023, the writer’s husband, Alexander Dontsov, died. Now the author of detective novels lives with dogs and two cats in a country house near Moscow, which he calls “pug property”. The first pug appeared in the writer’s family about 30 years ago.
For several years in a row, Dontsova was the most published writer in Russia.
