The video clip for the new version of the song Chci v tobo spát prefigures a selection of 18 David Koller hits. The musician, who recently left his best-known group Lucie, will release a best of in the fall. He placed on it both compositions from his solo career, as well as songs from the repertoire of Lucie or the band Jasná páka.
The sixty-three-year-old singer and composer re-recorded some of the compositions in the current arrangement with his line-up in the Mikulov studio, others are a recording of a concert performance.
“The last six months I spent a lot of time in the studio, which I decided to expand and modernize. That’s probably why I thought that I could make the most of the studio and record older songs in such a way that they correspond to today’s interpretation, to how it is with the band at concerts we play,” explains David Koller.
“Some have changed a lot over time. I thought it would be nice to record newer versions on the album so that we can listen to it too. I will never hear my concert,” adds the winner of this year’s Anděl award for solo performer of the year.
Single I want to sleep inside you again originally released on his first solo album from 1993. “We re-recorded the song in one go. At the same time, we recorded the entire process on video, so fans can experience the atmosphere from the studio with us,” notes the singer, who is accompanied by guitarist Michal Pelant, bassist Marek Minárik, keyboardist Martin Kryštof, percussionist Víťa Halšek and Adam Koller on drums.
It was thanks to Adam Koller and another collaborator Tomáš Karban that the videos for seven songs from the best of were created. Koller will be promoting it on a Christmas tour. The band will arrive in Děčín, Uherské Hradiště, Opava, Brno, Hradec Králové, Žamberk, České Budějovice, Domažlice, Olomouc or Zlín. The concert series will culminate on December 4 in Prague’s Karlín Forum.

In addition, he won the 25-year group award as a member of Lucie. Five years ago, as a supervisor, he participated in the creation of the album Hudba Praha & Michal Ambrož.
