“Countries provided support.” Lebanon’s Health Minister speaks to Al-Hurra after the raid

Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abyad said in an interview with Al-Hurra TV that Israel’s raids on Monday “unfortunately did not distinguish between fighters and civilians,” indicating that the death toll had increased to 356, including 40. children and two medics, and that there were wounded among them.

The caretaker minister said that Lebanon does not need to “establish field hospitals,” because a health emergency plan has been implemented to deal with the current events.

Al-Abyad pointed out that many neighboring countries have offered medical assistance to Lebanon, and have already sent a lot of aid.

In previous reports by Al-Abyad, he said that 31 women were among the dead, indicating that 1,246 people were injured in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa and Baalbek.

Since the morning hours, Beirut time, Israel has launched intense attacks on many areas in Lebanon. The Israeli army said it bombed 1,300 Hezbollah targets within 24 hours.

With the increase in the speed of the escalation between Israel and Hezbollah, many countries expressed their concern about the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, and the US Department of Defense announced that they would strengthen their forces with additional force in the department.
