YouTube is increasingly taking action against users and platforms that block advertising. On the other hand, advertising is becoming more massive. The reports are of a different nature and come from countries that previously had a lower price for family subscriptions. They previously paid 119 krone for the individual subscription and 179 krone for the family subscription. That is the equivalent of 15.95 euros and 24 euros respectively. In future, people in Denmark will have to pay the equivalent of 18.63 euros / 34.72 euros per month. If anything happens on the German market, we will of course let you know.
My opinion: What YouTube does is of course up to the company. Ultimately, however, it would be in the interest of users if they could use YouTube Lite globally – or if there was a fair split between YouTube Premium and YouTube Music. This music service is not taken into account by many in the discussion. In my opinion, it is not as well-designed as Spotify, Deezer or Apple Music, but ultimately it is an appendage of YouTube Premium.

It costs 23.99 euros per month and can be used by up to 6 people in one household. As a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium member, you can use the offline functions of your paid membership on up to 10 devices at the same time. Students pay 7.49 euros per month.
