Rahmane and Sunny have made a big splash by teaming up for the all-star season of ‘Revolution’.
Their first number, presented on Sunday evening at the start of the programme, completely won over the masters who got up from their seats to dance and better appreciate their explosive union, and Jean-Marc did not wait for permission from his colleagues to activate the three votes necessary to advance them to the next round.
“We always wanted to present something together, but time and our schedules never gave us the opportunity. I think that for the “all stars” season it was the right time to do it,” said Rahmane Belkebiche, winner of the third season in trio, with Yohe and Cindy.
“It was perfect timing. It was an opportunity for us to show what we were and the friendship we have. It was an experience we had been waiting for a long time,” continued his teammate Sunny Boisvert, finalist of season 4.
Competitive at heart, the dancers, who have known each other for 12 years now, decided to perform at “Révolution” to measure themselves against the best and demonstrate the extent of their talent.
“What Sunny and I want to show is obviously our “street” side, but also to show that we have learned so much over the last few years and through our different experiences. We have both collaborated with contemporary dancers, we have done “battles”, but we have also worked around the world. Now, it’s time to show that we can do anything,” stressed the former camper of the first season of “Get Me Out of Here!”, recalling that their journey over the last few years had allowed them to assert themselves not only as dancers, but as complete artists.
“There are many street dancers who only do street. There are contemporary dancers who only do contemporary. We can do anything!” he added, emphasizing the fact that this season they wanted to draw inspiration from all the flavors they had tasted through their different projects and put them into their street and show people that they are hybrids.
Since their last appearance at “Révolution”, the two friends have travelled around the world with different productions, notably with Les 7 Doigts and Cirque du Soleil. They have won several competitions, participated in the show “Révolution en tournée” as well as in the choreographies of the show “Pub Royal”.
“Revolution” is broadcast on Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on TVA and can be seen at any time on TVA+.
