Industry, engineer Paolo Culicchi dies

LUCCA. Mourning in the business world for the death of the engineer Paolo Culicchi at the age of 91.

He was born in 1933, after experience in Shell he worked for a long time in the paper mill sector, gaining great experience in the United States. Starting from the technical position of project engineer until he became general director of Cartiere A. Sterzi, he then managed the design and construction of the Cartitalia factory in Porcari. Factory director of Italcarta, he became managing director of the ContainerBoard division of SCA Packaging Italia. He was president of Assocarta and of ConsorzioGas Intensive President of Aticelca (Italian technical association for cellulose and paper), then of Eucepa (European technical association for cellulose and paper). She graduated in Industrial Mechanical Engineering in 1957.

Visible signs of his passion and dedication to paper remain in his numerous scientific publications, many of which are internationally listed. Paolo Culicchi leaves us a few days after the opening of Miac, a sector fair where businesses show their best.
