Dynamo Dresden misses the lead: 1-1 against Hansa

Dynamo Dresden has given up the lead in the 3rd football league. In the Eastern duel with FC Hansa Rostock, the Saxons could not overcome a 1-1 (1-0) draw. Christoph Daferner fired Dynamo into the lead after just nine minutes. In front of 31,434 spectators in the sold-out Rudolf Harbig Stadium, Ryan Don Naderi (74th) equalized. The second division team from the Baltic Sea are still waiting for their first win of the season after the 6th match day.

FC Hansa started very confidently, attacked early and thus stopped Dynamo’s anticipated attack to begin with. Nevertheless, the guests had a chance through Stefan Kutschke in the first minute. His shot went just wide of the goal. Daferner then did one better when he took the lead from Kutschke’s position, which was narrowly blocked by Hansa goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff.

Hansa’s strong goalkeeper makes several saves

The visitors’ keeper saved his team from falling behind. First he married against Daferner (27th), seconds later he saved a header from Lars Bunning from close range with a good reflex. He was also present for a long shot from Aljaz Casar (31′).

There was no offensive action from Hansa for a long time. It was only when Dynamo pulled back uncertainly and took the tempo out of the game that they too had their chances. First Damian Roßbach (34th) failed, then Nils Fröling (38th) lost after a nice pass from Adrien Lebeau.

Dynamo power play without result

After the break, Hansa became more aggressive in the duels and dominated the Dresden team. They tried to make it 2-0 with a power play and high crosses into the penalty area. But Uphoff, who was facing the low sun, and especially the defense chief Roßbach were at the post. The Dresden team, which was struggling with standing problems, then gave offensive actions to the guests, but these were largely unimaginative. The equalizer almost came out of nowhere when the Dynamo defense overpowered Naderi and converted a free.

After that there were chances on both sides, but both Oliver Batista Meier (78”) and Naderi (83”) were denied by goalkeepers Uphoff and Tim Schreiber. So it ended up being a fair draw.
