The recent release of the iPhone 16 series has sparked mixed reactions among users. While some are praising the technological innovations, others are expressing disappointment over design details. One content creator highlighted a particular issue related to the phone’s instability when placed on a surface.
The iPhone 16 series has recently arrived, and the new features have surprised some users, but disappointed others, who expected more. With the smartphones available, a user has detected a problem that is only noticeable without a protective case. Watch the video!
Apple’s choice of smartphones for this year includes four new models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. Prices start at €989 for the 128GB 16 and go up to €1999 for the 1TB 16 Pro Max.
The new devices are impressively equipped, with cutting-edge technology and many new features for the Apple universe. However, Marques Brownlee focused on the design, mocking the (lack of) mastery of the Cupertino company in this area.
With 19.5 million subscribers on YouTube and over six million on X, Marques Brownlee is a well-known content creator specializing in tech product unboxings and reviews.
On X, Brownlee shared a video, where he describes Apple’s new device as “probably the most unstable phone I’ve ever seen.”
Ok I know everyone puts a case on their phone but I can’t possibly be the only one to notice this. iPhone 16 is possibly the wobbliest slab phone I’ve ever seen 😅 pic.twitter.com/0eDS0Lzjap

Since the camera modules of the iPhone 16 series are noticeably larger than those of previous models and are integrated into the upper corner of the back, the phone does not lie flat on a surface. For those who do not use a protective cover, this problem can be unpleasant.
In the unboxing posted on YouTube, the content creator shows how the issue affects usability, by placing the smartphone on a flat surface. The protrusions of the cameras, as well as their position on the back, make the iPhone 16 unstable, swinging.
Although it may seem like a detail, it is important to note that this is a premium device, marketed at a premium price.
It didn’t take long before other users reacted to the post, complaining or simply joking about the situation:
