/ world today news/ “The Russians are capable of presenting a position quite equivocally. For this reason, I will wait for some consolidation of the position and then I will comment more thoroughly”, said Radan Kanev, chairman of the parliamentary group of the Reform Bloc.
We sought the opinion of the DSB leader regarding the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated yesterday after his meeting with his Turkish counterpart Erdogan:
“Under the current conditions, Russia cannot start the construction of the South Stream project. In view of the fact that we have not yet received permission from Bulgaria, we believe that Russia cannot continue the implementation of this project under these conditions. What I mean is that the construction of this pipeline in the Black Sea must now begin. We cannot start the construction of the sea section until we receive the permission from Bulgaria”.
“The information received yesterday can be interpreted quite ambiguously. At least for us, Bulgaria’s participation in South Stream, at least according to the current rules and parameters, has always been extremely disadvantageous. There is no bad news for me, but let’s still make sure that’s exactly what it’s all about,” Kanev emphasized to our media!
