CFM Media opens branch in Bulgaria

The tourist web agency CFM Media has founded a subsidiary in Bulgaria. It is intended to open up entry into Eastern European markets and create additional resources for the local market. The managing director will be Mariyan Stamenov (photo).

The new subsidiary, called CFM OOD, will be based in Montana in northern Bulgaria. “Bulgaria has a very competent technology scene that can drive the further development of our travel tech applications,” says Frank Müller, managing director and founder of CFM Media, about the project.

Germany and tourism companies in Central Europe are to remain the core business of the company from Seligenstadt in Hesse, but in the future the company also wants to offer technical solutions in Eastern Europe and benefit from local tech know-how, Müller continued.

Five-person, multilingual team

The managing director of the new company is Mariyan Stamenov, who has been working for CFM in Seligenstadt for four years as a software developer and is now to build up a team of five employees in Sofia. Stamenov knows the needs of tour operators, travel agencies and service providers in the German-speaking market as well as the IT market in his native Bulgaria, says Müller. Stamenov is also taking over ten percent of the shares. The rest is with CFM Media.

According to the company, CFM OOD has already moved into an office in Montana and will now gradually take over tasks for the parent company in Seligenstadt. The new team also speaks German and works multilingually.
