The new Bundesliga season is underway! On Friday (September 20, 2024, 8:30 p.m.), the 4th match day started with the encounter between 1. FC Augsburg and FSV Mainz 05. The Rheinhessen won 3-2 in a wild game and took their first victory of the the season .
Four games continue on Saturday at 3:30pm: Werder Bremen hosts league leaders FC Bayern Munich. 1. FC Heidenheim welcomes SC Freiburg to a south-west duel. The game between VfL Bochum and newly promoted Holstein Kiel is about the first points of the season for both. Union Berlin also face TSG Hoffenheim. In the evening (6.30 pm) Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach will face each other in the top game.
There are three matches on the program for Sunday: champion Bayer Leverkusen host VfL Wolfsburg (3:30 p.m.), Borussia Dortmund host VfB Stuttgart (5:30 p.m.) in the meeting between two Champions League participants and FC St. Pauli decide against RB Leipzig on matchday (7.30pm).
