Al-Nassr secured a 3-0 away win against Al-Ettifaq, coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Ronaldo scored the first goal with a penalty in the 33rd minute and with goals from Saleem Al-Najdi and Talisca in the second half, the Italian tactician was assured of a successful start to his new role.
Al-Nassr currently sits fourth in the Saudi Pro League after recording two wins and two draws in their first four league matches of the season, but Al-Taawoun and Al-Shabab can still catch the team if they win their catch-up matches.
Pioli, who left his post as Milan head coach at the end of the 2023/24 season, was appointed by Al-Nassr on a two-year contract reportedly worth €12 million per season on Wednesday.
