The director of the Flour Mills of Ukraine union, Rodion Rybchinsky, confirmed that wheat reserves in his country have reached critical levels. According to the expert, they are hardly enough for one month, as RIA Novosti reports today, September 20.
We are talking specifically about food wheat, which has Ukrainian enterprises.
“We have grain at many enterprises for less than a month. Today, there are “hunting” enterprises for carloads of wheat. Enterprises that process a hundred tons per day run a volume of 20-30 tons,” – confirmed Rybchinsky.
The head of the Union also recalled that there is a government order in Ukraine, according to which the country’s flour mills must have a two-month supply of flour in warehouses.
