This morning the celebration was held 76th edition of the 2024 Emmy Awards, which has left us with great moments, surprises and most importantly: The best American television series of 2024. In a very popular edition, due to the postponement of the ceremony in 2023 due to strikes in Hollywood, There have been two big winners who have taken home most of the statuettes: Shogun y My stuffed reindeer.
The series based on the novel by James Clavell, Set in 17th century samurai Japanhas been the big winner, taking home 18 awards which include the big four: the one of Best Drama Series, Best Actor for Hiroyuki Sanada, Best Actress for Anna Sawai and Best Direction to Frederick E. O. Toye.
My stuffed reindeer is not far behind. The Netflix miniseries, which has already triumphed in views and which was trending for several weeks in a row, once again demonstrated its success in the latest edition of these awards. It won most of the limited series categories, including the Best Miniseries, Best Actor for its protagonist and creator, Richard Gadd, who also received the Best Screenplayy Best Actress for his co-star Jessica Gunning.
The big surprise was given to us by the Emmy Best comedy series. While all those present They assumed that the prize would go to the big favorite, The Bearwhich had 23 nominations and already won it last year, appeared Hacks and took it out of his hands. Despite this, The Bear collected four major awards: Jeremy Allen White took the one Best ActorEbon Moss-Bachrach for Best Supporting Actor, Liza Colón-Zayas for Best Best Supporting Actress and Christopfer Storer the one from Best Direction.
