Free travel for children on World Children’s Day in Wuppertal

September 20 is World Children’s Day. That is why all children under the age of 15 have free travel on public transport in Wuppertal on this day, ie on the WSW buses and the suspension railway. No ticket required. Not only the WSW, but also all other transport companies in the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association (VRR) are participating in the campaign.

Children’s Day is a great opportunity for children and their parents to try using public transport. In this way, children learn at an early stage how to navigate themselves in everyday traffic and how to use buses and trains safely. Children under the age of six are normally allowed to travel for free on the VRR, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
