Before the seventh edition of the Laver Cup, in which he will participate this weekend from September 20 to 22 in Berlin, Stefanos Tsitsipas recalled his participation in 2019, when he had the chance to play doubles with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
“I got to see them in a different way, on a different scale than I ever had before. I got to meet them, talk to them in a way that I don’t usually get to do when I’m on the circuit. It brought me a lot of emotions and great memories. I was witnessing the legacy. I was watching their body language, what makes them incredible athletes, and for me, it was just a learning experience. I was there. I felt absolutely grateful to have been able to share that with them. I felt like I had come a long way to earn my spot on this team and, in a way, it was a great reflection of my journey and everything I put in to earn my spot.”explained the double Grand Slam finalist in comments reported on the competition site.
