“State of war with Russia”. Putin on attacks with Western weapons on targets deep in the Russian Federation

Russia-Ukraine War. Day 933

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Six Russian regions were attacked by Ukrainian drones overnight.

In an interview with Russian state television on Thursday, Putin warned that if Ukraine strikes Russian territory with Western-made long-range missiles, “it will mean nothing more than direct involvement of NATO countries, the United States and European countries in the war in Ukraine.”

Putin said that Western countries’ consent to the use of long-range missiles produced by them and transferred to Ukraine to attack targets deep inside Russia, something Kiev has been seeking for months, “would change the nature of the conflict.”

– It will be their direct participation, and this will of course significantly change the very essence, the very nature of the conflict – Putin said. – It will mean that NATO countries, the US, European countries are in a state of war with Russia – he specified.
