Donald Trump still hasn’t gotten over Taylor Swift’s support for Kamala Harris, according to a message the Republican posted on Truth Social on September 15, 2024.
UNITED STATES – Donald Trump holds a grudge. Five days after pop star Taylor Swift announced her support for Democrat Kamala Harris for the US presidential election, the billionaire expressed his anger again this Sunday, September 15.
In a post written in all capital letters on his Truth Social network, the Republican wrote: “I hate Taylor Swift.” Just after the televised debate between the two presidential candidates on Tuesday, the superstar posted an unambiguous message on Instagram denouncing the « chaos » proposed by Donald Trump, and had signed “childless catwoman”. A reference to the billionaire’s running mate, JD Vance, who attacked Kamala Harris, calling her “childless and unhappy cat woman.”
The singer’s announcement wasn’t a huge surprise — she endorsed Democrat Joe Biden in 2020 — but her public statement could sway tens of thousands of voters, especially young Swifties.
Call to register on the electoral lists
On Instagram, she also called on Americans to register to vote and shared the link to the Vote.com website. Taylor Swift reiterated this call at the MTV Video Music Awards, the ceremony rewarding the best clips of the year, a few days later.
Taylor Swift has not been ignored. The website cited, which helps Americans register to vote and better understand the complicated electoral process in the United States, was reportedly visited 400,000 times in 24 hours, according to the American press.
