Mikel Arteta expresses delight after Arsenal’s derby win over Tottenham

Arsenal travelled to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the 4th day of the Premier League and the North London derby. The Gunners won, thanks to a goal from Gabriel.

Gabriel’s second-half header saw Arsenal win the North London derby away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, marking the first time since 1988 that the Gunners have won three away games in a row in this derby. After this victory, Mikel Arteta expressed his joy and pride.

« We have the power to make a lot of people happy and proud. That’s what we did today by winning the game in the circumstances we knew before we went on the pitch, and as it’s the third consecutive away win, it means a lot. I hope they enjoy it. There are some things we have to improve, for sure, especially simple things with the ball that I wasn’t happy with at all. But there are other things we have to do in the game and the way we competed and defended, and the way we had the intention all the time to run into the spaces they give you, it was incredible. Then you have to find a way to win in any context, and today was difficult, because first of all they are a great opponent, secondly because we had to change our game plan according to the players we had, and then you still win the game. »
