Legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who is suffering from a virus, will miss Al-Nassr’s opening Asian Champions League match this week against Al-Shota in Iraq, the Saudi club announced on social media X on Sunday.
“Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo was not feeling well today and was diagnosed with a viral infection, so he will not travel with the team to Iraq. We wish him a speedy recovery,” the club said.
The 39-year-old Portuguese striker could make his comeback in the Saudi league, against Al-Ettifaq on Friday.
