At the end of August, the Haitian women’s football team was invited to participate in a mini-tournament by the Philippine Football Federation. The presence of the Grenadières has just been confirmed by the FHF, they will travel to Turkey next October to play in this competition.
At a standstill since last February and a defeat against Puerto Rico during the Women’s Gold Cup play-offs, the Haitian team will soon be back in action. Indeed, Haiti will participate in a mini-tournament on Turkish soil next October. During this friendly competition, the Grenadières will play three matches against the Philippines, Jordan and Mali, respectively on the 24th, 27th and 30th of the month.
Malou Quignette, the brand new coach of the selection, will have the opportunity to lead her first matches at the head of the blue and red, and why not take advantage of it to prove herself to the fans who are still skeptical because of her inexperience at the top level. It is therefore good news for our players, who are about seven months without treading the fields under the colors of the national bicolor.
Note that each delegation will have between October 15 and 21 to land in Turkey. In any case, the nations present promise a great adversity to the Haitians, for the greatest pleasure of all in short.
