The presence of the prime minister in the TIF not only does not seem to be a “restart point” for the government, on the contrary it widens the grumbling inside the blue faction, as the measures in no way answer the problems facing the society. Such is the grumbling in the parliamentary group of the ruling party that according to reports in recent days the prime minister is even considering the return of Giorgos Gerapetritis to Maximos.
The “reformation” has deepened the internal crisis
After the result of the European elections, Kyriakos Mitsotakis proceeded with an immediate reshuffle (14/6), in order to show the citizens that the “message was received”. Three months after the changes in the government composition and Maximos, it is clear that the blue machine “doesn’t work”, as the contradictions in the ruling party’s KO are growing, while in the blue base there is further demobilization. Now in the prime minister’s close staff, many consider that Maximos is missing, a person who could be a reference person for the MPs, the ministers and in general would be “commonly accepted”. In fact, the “arrows” for the current image of the government’s lack of coordination seem to be aimed at the deputy minister instead of the Prime Minister Giorgos Mylonakis, who, according to many, has not performed his duties with great efficiency, at a time when the political decay continues.
All against all at Maximos
Characteristically, while Giorgos Mylonakis presents an image of absolute control of business conflicts and the blue KO, this is in no way the case, with the result that intense conflicts have been produced within Maximos. In short, there is a climate of great suspicion among the prime minister’s close associates, as everyone is against everyone. Many, however, argue that Mr. Mylonakis is undermining them and consider that he is leading the prime minister into wrong decisions. Kyriakos Mitsotakis seems to be disappointed by the current situation and that is why the scenarios of Giorgos Gerapetritis returning to Maximos are increasing day by day. If these scenarios are verified, then it is most likely that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be taken over by Alexandra Papadopoulou, who is now a deputy minister in the same ministry.
