The fight between Rodriguez and Osbourne for the flyweight division, at 125 pounds, already showed at the aforementioned press conference that the atmosphere is heated. Osbourne was the one who launched the threat to the Mexican, assuring that he would be “the first one I would send to sleep.”
Lazyboy didn’t take the comment well at all and responded harshly: “To start with, I’m going to kick your ass, that’s what’s going to happen. And you know it very well, dude,” said Rodriguez, which sparked shouts and applause from the audience.
But things didn’t stop there. The Jamaican took another shot at Rodriguez, saying that he “hasn’t fought anyone,” to which the Mexican responded in an ironic and harsh manner.
“Oh, sorry, sorry. But I remind you that you are on this card because of me, asshole. After this fucking fight you are going to get out of here right away. After this fight they are going to get you out of here,” the Veracruz native replied to his rival.
The fans present at the event supported and cheered on Mexican Rodriguez with shouts and applause, who ended the conference with his shirt open and launching a final threat to his rival.
The official weigh-in will take place this Friday, the last step before the clash between the two at UFC 306, part of the Riyadh Season.
