Apparently Taylor Swift watched the entire TV debate (about 90 minutes). Afterwards she wrote that Kamala Harris is “a gifted leader with a steady hand” and that the people of the USA “accomplish so much more when we are led by calm and not chaos”. A clear rejection of Donald Trump.

In terms of content, it was actually a clear matter, after all, Swift has long been committed to women’s rights (keyword: abortion) and the LGBTQ+ community. Both are issues that Harris and her vice president Tim Walz have repeatedly emphasized during the election campaign.

And the 34-year-old couldn’t resist this dig either: she signed her post with “Taylor Swift, childless catwoman,” an ironic reference to a derogatory comment made by Trump’s vice presidential candidate JD Vance about female supporters of the Democratic Party. It couldn’t be more of a slap in the face.
