“We have obtained satisfaction on all pointssays Paul-Philippe Canessa, STC delegate. One of the fundamental points was the guarantee of obtaining a replacement activity, following the departure of oncology. It is a done deal, and with this replacement activity which is structured around geriatrics and other activities which will be created, we have the quasi-guarantee that all the agents will be able to remain on site. Then, a major recruitment campaign in CDI will be set up. We have obtained 20 CDI by the end of the year and 10 at the beginning of 2025. A major internship campaign will also be carried out at the beginning of 2025 and will concern 30 agents. Finally, we will have a career upgrading program which is structured around 20 competitions, as well as categories C+, B, B+ and A. We are satisfied because this concerns all the agents.”
The call for a strike was launched on Thursday, September 12, by the STC section of the Castelluccio hospital.
Among the main demands, the nationalist union demanded “a ccampaign for permanent contracts for all grades, the implementation of the sustainable mobility package, the modification of the protocol for allocating overtime” or even “the introduction of four-day weeks and teleworking”.
Around fifty employees of the Ajaccio establishment gathered in front of the main reception of the hospital center.

Representatives of the nationalist union also expressed concern about the transfer of the oncology department to the Miséricorde hospital. Of the 153 employees affected by the move, 40 have volunteered to work in the new hospital in Mezzavia, according to the STC.
On Thursday, late morning, the STC representatives were received by management. The discussions ended late afternoon but had not yet reached a conclusion and the strike notice had been maintained.
