Jazz in Pau: singer Ayo for the inauguration of the new season

Eight groups, with very varied styles (as for the first two seasons), are on the bill, for shows mainly at the Foirail, with the exception of the arrival of Thomas Dutronc who will play at the Zénith. This year, it is the very popular singer Ayo who inaugurates this new cycle, this Friday and Saturday for two shows. The German-Nigerian has recently declared in many media that her Pau concerts (sold out) are very important to her in more ways than one.

An important concert

This will be her first public performance with a brand new trio project that she is refining these days during final rehearsals and she will celebrate the release of her new album in Pau: “Mami Wata”. Ayo, whose first name means “joy” in the Yoruba dialect, is a “citizen of the world”. She has lived in Tahiti for almost three years but recorded the 13 tracks of “Mami Wata” in Paris…

She will be on stage in Pau accompanied by a pianist and a bassist. She plays the guitar. The people of Pau will have the pleasure of discovering this brand new orchestral formula of Ayo live. Generous, the singer loves to leave the stage to come and sing in the middle of the audience. Her two concerts (Friday and Saturday) are sold out: 1,100 people in total will have the joy of vibrating with her.

Two upcoming concerts: Richard Bona (November 15 and 16), Chicago Blues Festival and Nico Wayne Toussaint (December 6 and 7). There are still a few places available for these two evenings.
