As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for the country,” the singer wrote after the presidential debate between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Taylor Swift Urges Voters to Register, Reaction Comes
Taylor Swift then announced that she would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the US presidential election. “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she’s fighting for the rights and issues that I think need a fighter to fight for them. I think she’s a strong and talented leader and I believe we can achieve so much more in this country if we’re led by calm and not chaos. I’m also heartened by her choice of vice presidential candidate Tom Walz, who has championed LGBTQ+ rights, the right to IVF, a woman’s right to decide about her body for decades,” she added.
“I also want to say, especially to those who will vote for the first time. Remember that in order to vote, you have to register. I also think it is easier to vote earlier (in early voting – ed.),” she added. She also posted a link to the website where you can register to participate in the elections.
