WUNSIEDEL / MUNICH On September 10, a fire severely damaged the headquarters and production site of LAPP Insulators GmbH in Wunsiedel. Production had to be stopped as a result. After a video conference between management and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger announced the Bavarian State Government’s support for reconstruction: “First of all, I am glad that no one was hurt. We must do everything we can to save jobs. The major fire and its consequences are a shock for the entire city of Wunsiedel. Now it’s time to get to work so that the site can be rebuilt. We are trying to provide financial support for the reconstruction of the company. We will clarify the details as soon as possible.”
