We expected a lot of things from Beyoncé : clips for the excellent Cowboy Carter, an upcoming tour, the third act of the trilogy started with the already cult Renaissance…Here she comes back as a businesswoman. And we’re not talking about Cecredher hair care brand, the latest addition to the celebrity beauty label family. No, Queen Bey is here this time to serve us a glass of whisky. Indeed, the icon has just launched with the giant Moët Hennessy his own drink: SirDavis. The name is a tribute to David Hogue, her great-grandfather, a farmer and whiskey smuggler in the southern United States. In the very lucrative business of celebrity spirits, Beyoncé is coming into her own. And it’s a safe bet that, whether you’re a fan or not, the members of the Beyhive will want to taste this precious liquid (in moderation of course, alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health). Parisian fans can rest assured! If you can get a bottle delivered to France, there’s even better: le SirDavis, Whisky Bar who settled in the capital.
Beyoncé’s cocktail please!
In fact, from September 25 to 30, the Plaza Athenaeum, famous palace on Avenue Montaigne, will host this exceptional bar which will highlight le whisky SirDavis. You can come and taste four cocktails (because yes, whisky can also be tasted in cocktails), including the Honey Bee described as “a refreshing cocktail where the honey shines, illuminates the lemon and balances the whisky”. Honey and lemon, the members of the fan club will not have failed to grasp the references (and to want to rush there, to consume in moderation, we remind you). To perfect the experience, Jean Imbert, both chef at the Plaza Athénée and close to Beyoncé, has imagined a menu especially for this place, thought of as food and whisky pairings, inspired by Texan flavors. We don’t know if we’ll need “hot sauce” in our “bag” for the tasting that said… Swag.
