- Sending and receiving photo snaps
- Sending and receiving video snaps
It’s that simple. You won’t get a Snapstreak for texting the person, posting Stories (even if it’s a private Story), or for the Snaps sent to group conversations. It’s also worth noting that You should send the snap directly from Snapchat’s camera interface. Sending the Snap from your Camera Roll or Memories tab doesn’t count toward your Snapstreak. If you use Snapchat Spectacles, Snaps you share through them don’t count toward your streak either.

2. Scroll down until you reach the Charms section and look for the Snapstreak charm. Now tap Extend the Snapstreak charm and take a screenshot of it. Note that Snapchat will notify your friend when you take a screenshot of the friend profile.
3. Now all you have to do is post the screenshot in your Snapchat story. Open the Snapchat story creation interface and select the screenshot from the camera roll. You can mention the person in the story. When you’re done, select “My Story” and press the blue “Send” button to see your Snapstreak in your Snapchat story.

- Send photo snapshots
The easiest way to extend the Snapstreak is to send photo Snaps to the other person. If you run out of ideas to send pictures, you can simply send a blank Snap to continue the streak. Most long-term Snapstreaks are usually empty unless both participants are socially active and outgoing.

- Send video snapshots
If you find sending static pictures redundant or boring, you can also send video snaps. Record a video every day and send it to the person. Video snaps also seem more personal and strengthen the bond with your friend.
