The Lucho Gatica Regional Theater dressed up last Friday, September 6, to host the first edition of the prestigious “RG Awards 2024”, an event that promises to mark a before and after in the artistic world of Rancagua. The city was the epicenter of entertainment and culture, with a red carpet that began at 5:00 p.m. and left no one indifferent.
The parade of local stars took over the catwalk with elegance, sophistication and glamour, making it clear that the O’Higgins region has talent for a long time to come. With the stellar animation of the charismatic “RB”, Rebeca Yáñez from Radio Bienvenida and Weisler Torreyes from Cosmopitan Academy, the day started with a luxurious display worthy of any international red carpet.
But that was just the beginning. The real magic began inside the majestic theater, where the gala reached its highest point with the presentation of the awards that seek to recognize the effort and creativity of local artists, programs and content creators. The ceremony, hosted by popular announcer Rodrigo Peralta of Radio FM Tú, was consolidated as a night of applause and emotions.
CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF REGIONAL TALENT
The initiative was led by singer Rodrigo Gaete, owner of the artistic academy and creator of the awards, who together with Caro Castro, host of the BrillaGlam program, transformed his vision into an exceptional showcase for the region’s talent. “This project was born with the aim of motivating and making visible the work of our artists. It is a recognition, but also an opportunity to share and enjoy local art,” said Gaete, highlighting the importance of continuing with this initiative in the coming years.
The RG Awards thus feature a wide range of categories, from media to emerging and established artists, celebrating the diversity of regional talent.
