50 years of the State Centre for Political Education Rhineland-Palatinate: Democracy mobile tour on 10 September in Montabaur
Whether memorials, events, publications, advice or the diverse digital offerings, the LpB has been offering a comprehensive program for and about Rhineland-Palatinate for 50 years.
On September 6, 2024, the LpB started a nationwide tour to mark its 50th anniversary, which will stop in around 30 locations in Rhineland-Palatinate from September to November and aims to provide new impetus for local democracy education.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the LpB Democracy Mobile will be visiting Montabaur. The visit starts from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in front of the BBS Montabaur. It then continues in front of the Old Town Hall of Montabaur (Großer Markt 10) from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On both dates, the bus will of course have numerous materials and books on board – a visit is worthwhile!
In Montabaur, the Democracy Mobile is invited by the local adult education center, which is also celebrating its 50th anniversary. The LpB will also be raising awareness of its offerings at the city’s schools.

LpB Director Bernhard Kukatzki: “The state center has been an important pillar of political education in the country for half a century and has consistently worked to make the principles and values of democracy accessible to all.
Our 50th anniversary tour is not only a symbol of 50 years of dedicated work, but also a mobile information center. The Democracy Mobile will be equipped with books, brochures, information materials and, above all, an open ear for those interested. The LpB wants to address people’s questions in direct contact, discuss concerns and illustrate the importance of political education. To this end, the LpB has dialogue-oriented elements that invite people to talk to each other, take a position and network on the topic of democracy.”
