Drinking Water Works – Firminy – Hospital Roundabout

As part of the 2024 drinking water works program, work on the installation of a flow meter on the drinking water network at the hospital roundabout, in the commune of Firminy, will begin on September 9th.

The duration of the project is approximately 2 weeks. The work will be carried out by the company LMTP.

This work consists of implementing a sectorization device in order to improve the responsiveness of field interventions by identifying losses as quickly as possible and prioritizing leak detection actions in the sectors with the most losses.

Part of the roundabout will be closed off to allow for the work to be carried out, and traffic going up Rue Robert Plotton will be prohibited. A diversion via Rue Benoit Frachon will be implemented.

Traffic on other streets (Benoit Frachon, Place du Breuil and Limouzin) and on the downward direction of rue Robert Plotton will not be blocked but may be impacted occasionally by the work.

A water cut will be made in order to carry out the work, a communication will be made by the Ondaine Water Authority. An alteration of the water quality is possible during the water restorations following the water cuts.

Communication with the installation of an information panel at the 3 access branches to the roundabout was carried out.
