Zwingenberg. (pm) The Ministry of Science, Research and Art is supporting the Zwingenberg Castle Festival, which recently invited people to its 41st season, with an additional 18,000 euros. This will increase the total funding to 81,000 euros in 2024. “The Castle Festival has been an important part of the cultural offering for many years, far beyond the municipal and district borders,” says parliamentary group leader Simone Heitz. “We are happy that State Secretary Arne Braun (Greens) has succeeded in increasing the funding this year!”
“The current budget situation leaves the ministries little room for maneuver,” added MdL Erwin Köhler, cultural policy spokesman for the Greens in the state parliament, who represents the Neckar-Odenwald district as a member of parliament. “That’s why it’s all the more gratifying that we were able to give District Administrator Dr. Brötel this positive news. I will work to ensure that there will be an increased state subsidy in the coming years, despite the difficult budget situation.”

(Archive image) Waldbrunn. (pm) The apple and pear harvest is approaching and will be ushered in again this year by the Waldbrunner Mostwoche, September 28th to October 6th. In addition to “Good things from apples and pears” in participating restaurants, the district’s Yellow Ribbon campaign is also taking place this year. Anyone who wants to make their fruit trees available to the public for harvesting can mark them with a yellow ribbon. The ribbon can be picked up free of charge in sufficient quantities from the Waldbrunn Tourist Information Center, in the Katzenbuckel-Therme, for this purpose. This year, NABU Waldbrunn is offering local hedges in addition to the discounted fruit trees offered annually. The list of varieties can be found here. […] […]
